Let’s Talk about Guys, Girls and Sex
"A Modern Approach to Sex Education
SEX is NEVER an EASY SUBJECT to talk about. And that, perhaps, is why most people KNOW so LITTLE about it. LET’S TALK about GUYS, GIRLS and SEX takes a LIGHT-HEARTED yet ILLUMINATING STANCE and starts a very IMPORTANT DIALOGUE.
The journey from teenage to adulthood is often the most daunting. And to make it even more complicated, there is heaps of seldom-verifiable information online. Can you catch AIDS by having lunch with a HIV positive friend? What is an erection? Is this love or just lust? What are the different contraceptives available in the market? How does one get pregnant?
Targeted at young adults and their parents, each chapter starts with a story that makes the topic easy to relate to. Author Swati Shome uses her years of experience with young adults to open the channels of communication. Everything you need to know about the mystery that surrounds sex lies within these pages.
SO COME ON... LET’S TALK!
Swati Shome has a PhD in cell biology, and has been zigzagging between the USA and India her whole life. She attended primary school in the USA, high school and undergraduate college in India, and did her Masters, PhD and post-doc in the USA. She currently lives in India. "

Parenting Begins From a Baby’s Time in the Womb
"Prenatal Communication Between Mother & Baby
Translation by Seika Smith
I STAYED STILL BECAUSE I FELT SORRY FOR YOU, MOMMY.
Conceiving a child is one of life’s big dreams, involving both body and soul. Many mothers treasure memories such as their pregnancy, childbirth, and the moment when they finally held their baby. What if the baby himself could remember his time in the womb and his own birth? Perhaps little children might still remember. With that in mind, in 2000 the author conducted a survey of 79 mothers with children aged from 2 to 7 years. The results were beyond such memories. In the survey they also asked how the children reacted when they talked about their memories of being in the womb.
When one mother asked her child, “Why didn’t you move very much inside my tummy?” the child answered, “Because you said ‘It hurts’. I stayed still because I felt sorry for you, Mommy.”

Happier Than God
"Come On Get Happy!
“Life was meant to be happy. Do you believe that? It’s true. I know it doesn’t seem like it when you look around, but it’s true. Life was meant to be happy.
You were meant to be happy. And if you are happy, you were meant to be happier. Even if you’re very happy, you can be even happier.
How happy? Just how happy can you be? Well... you can be happier than God.”
Since the publication of his worldwide bestseller Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch has been telling readers that a new understanding of God can change their lives and change the world. Here is Walsch at his best with the message that not only can you be happy, but that you are meant to be happy now!
"
God’s Message to the World
"You've Got Me All Wrong
If we’ve got God all wrong, we’ve got everything else wrong, too.
Is it possible that everything we think we know about God, and what God wants, is wrong?
In direct and spiritually challenging language, Walsch exposes the many ways in which he believes that humanity completely misunderstands God. He describes in clear terms how the world could change overnight if humans accurately comprehended what God is, what God wants, who they are in relation to that, and to each other. Walsch calls this the Missing Data, which if ever embraced and acted on by our species, would create a spiritual revolution across the globe, bringing humanity both inner and outer peace at last.
Does anybody care why our species has been such a failure? Does anybody imagine it has not been? Does anybody want to know how this whole situation can be turned around in the virtual blink of an eye? If you do care about those questions, then you will read this book.
Neale Donald Walsch is one of the most influential and widely read authors in the new spirituality movement, with eight books on the New York Times bestseller list. His life and work have helped to create and sustain a worldwide spiritual renaissance, and he travels globally to bring the uplifting message of his books to people everywhere."
Sufi Tales
"Wisdom from Mulla Nasruddin’s Comic Teachings and Stories
The legendary Mulla Nasruddin is a village simpleton and sage rolled into one. The stories of his wisdom, timeless and placeless, emanate from a source beyond book learning and contain several layers of meaning.
In this unique book, Imam Jamal Rahman weaves together Islamic spiritual insights with the Mulla’s humorous teachings and connects them to the issues at the heart of the spiritual quest. Rahman pairs the stories with teachings from the Qur’an, Prophet Muhammad, Rumi, Hafiz and other Islamic sages. Through Mulla, these fables address larger social concerns of human vulnerability and depravity, the hazards of the ego and much more.
Together, these sources combined with spiritual practices will raise your soul to laughter and inspire you to transform yourself and the world around you.
IMAM JAMAL RAHMAN is a beloved teacher and retreat leader whose passion for helping people deepen their spiritual lives and cultivate interfaith understanding has inspired audiences throughout the world. He has been featured in the New York Times, on CBS News, the BBC and many NPR programs. He is co-founder and Muslim Sufi minister at Interfaith Community Sanctuary, adjunct faculty at Seattle University, and a former host of Interfaith Talk Radio."
Love Only
"This book is about the eternal quest of a soul for love; a love that can provide fulfillment. It is a journey into the self; a journey to find meaning and re-establish communion with God.
Love Only is a story of an angel who gives up her privileged position near God to find ‘true’ and ‘exclusive’ love. Through her journey, she chronicles love in its various colours—of longing, of pain, of understanding, of hope, of deliverance.
The author, Kavita Gupta, weaves this soul-searching journey beautifully, incorporating the Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Sufi philosophies. Through her extraordinary storytelling prowess, Gupta fuses prose and poetry masterfully to make the reader wonder about the true nature of love.
Can carnal desires and limiting cravings define individual love?
How does individual love relate to divine love?
Why is human love so pressing, and can it be everlasting?
The book inspires the reader to search for eternal love within each one of us, instead of seeking it outside.

Life and Death in One Breath
"For ages, most of humanity has placed “life” and “death” at two ends of the existential spectrum – favoring one, fearing the other and continuously floundering between the two. Only when someone who has consciously traversed between both life and death offers to articulate some aspects of it, does humanity get a glimpse of what lies beyond the horizon of its normal perception.
With his extraordinary insights, coming from a profound inner experience, Sadhguru reveals that life and death are, in fact, two sides of the same coin. It is only by embracing both that we can break the shackles of our self-made struggles and be set free.
In his own words, he says: “Death is a cosmic joke. If you get the joke, when you fall on the other side, it will be wonderful. If you don’t get the joke, when you are here you fear the other side, and when the other side comes, you just don’t know what it is about. If death becomes a laughing matter in your life, life becomes an utterly effortless process – there is no need to restrain yourself in the process of life; you can live your life absolutely, totally.”
“The distance between your life and death is just one breath, isn’t it?”
– Sadhguru"

"2 Book in 1
Book 1: Mind is your Business
For most people, the mind seems to be an unruly cacophony, attempting to grasp and shape everything which falls in its purview. In mind is your business, Sadhguru explains that only if we make it “our business” to transform this uncoordinated mess into a well – coordinated symphony, will we able to use the mind, rather than be used by it.

In the course of this book, Sadhguru explores the yogic physiology and the many subtle dimensions of the body. It is a first step on an intriguing and exciting journey that culminates in total mastery of the system, allowing us to stay rooted in the physical, and yet taste the beyond. Himalayan Lust
"Every year, a group of Isha meditators sets out on a tour of the Himalayas. Accompanying them on this journey is Sadhguru – a spiritual master considered by many to be one of the foremost living yogis on the planet.
This is a book for those who stayed behind. It is a chance to make a pilgrimage on the page, travelling through the unpredictable but fascinating terrain of the master’s words. Amalgamating discourses and conversations from several yatras, it is a blend of the specific and the timeless.
This book is not just about the Himalayas. And yet, the book would never have happened without the Himalayas. The mountains play a vital role in the text, alternately as context and catalyst, mood and metaphor. Without them, some of the questions in this book would never have been asked. Even if they sometimes seem tangential to the line of enquiry, they remain a powerful subterranean presence, eventually becoming the very bedrock of this book. "
Midnights with the Mystic
"A series of intimate conversations with a wise and charismatic guru is a compelling idea. How many times have each of us wished for answers to life’s deep questions? As we share in her profound experiences, we are challenged to embrace the possibility that to each of us is available a higher realm of reality, a peak of consciousness, an entrée into the realm of freedom and bliss.
“This book lays bare Sadhguru’s mastery over life.”

Don’t Polish Your Ignorance …It May Shine
"The persistent questions of seekers fill this book. It’s all here – the pain, the confusion, the raging gut-level thirst, all that it means to be human and alive and wanting. And through it all are the clear, strong, unwavering tones of a master who reminds us that the only thing that lies between the human and the divine, the finite and the boundless, the seeking and the finding, is choice.
What does that choice entail? Not the acquisition of any path-breaking wisdom, but a determined refusal to strengthen one’s ignorance, to reinforce one’s deceptions, to ‘gold-plate one’s limitations’.
The danger, Sadhguru tells us, does not lie in being in the dark – that can be dispelled for anyone who genuinely desires it – but in settling for an easy brilliance, a spurious radiance. The danger does not lie in seeking urgently, but in arriving cheaply.
“Don’t polish your ignorance,” he warns aphoristically, unforgettably, recurrently in the course of this book. “It may shine.” "
Emotion & Relationships (2 Books in 1)
"Emotion: The Juice of Life
“One can make any emotion into a creative force in one’s life.”
– Sadhguru
It’s not just poetic license that allows us to refer to emotions as “juicy”. In a literal sense also, emotions are a chemical cocktail that course through our bodies. But while we have no problems with pleasant emotions, unpleasant emotions are the source of much angst in our lives. In Emotion: The Juice of Life, Sadhguru looks at the gamut of human emotions and how to turn them into stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks.
Sadhguru is a yogi and profound mystic of our times. An absolute clarity of perception places him in a unique space in not only matters spiritual but in business, environmental and international affairs, and opens a new door on all that he touches.
Relationships Bond or Bondage
“If you enhance yourself into a very beautiful state, everyone will want to hold a relationship with you.”
– Sadhguru
Human beings constantly make and break relationships. Unfortunately, relationships can make and break human beings too. Why are relationships such a circus for most of us? What is this primal urge within us that demands a bond – physical, mental, or emotional – with another? And how do we keep this bond from turning into bondage? These are the fundamental questions that Relationships: Bond or Bondage looks at as Sadhguru shares with us the keys to forming lasting and joyful relationships, whether they are with husband or wife, family and friends, at work, or with the very existence itself."

Death is a taboo in most societies in the world. But what if we have got this completely wrong? What if death was not the catastrophe it is made out to be but an essential aspect of life, rife with spiritual possibilities for transcendence? For the first time, someone is saying just that.
In this unique treatise-like exposition, Sadhguru dwells extensively upon his inner experience as he expounds on the more profound aspects of death that are rarely spoken about. From a practical standpoint, he elaborates on what preparations one can make for one's death, how best we can assist someone who is dying and how we can continue to support their journey even after death.
Whether a believer or not, a devotee or an agnostic, an accomplished seeker or a simpleton, this is truly a book for all those who shall die!

Adiyogi (Kannada)
"""Shiva does not spell religion. Shiva spells responsibility—our ability to take our very life process in our hands.''
—Sadhguru
'Shi-va' is 'that which is not', a primordial emptiness; Shiva is also the first-ever yogi, Adiyogi, the one who first perceived this emptiness. Adiyogi is symbol and myth, historic figure and living presence, creator and destroyer, outlaw and ascetic, cosmic dancer and passionate lover, all at once.A book like no other, this extraordinary document is a tribute to Shiva, the Adiyogi, by a living yogi; a chronicle of the progenitor of mysticism by a contemporary mystic. Here science and philosophy merge seamlessly, so do silence and sound, question and answer--to capture the unspeakable enigma of Adiyogi in a spellbinding wave of words and ideas that will leave one entranced, transformed.

The Lost years of Jesus
"Documentary evidence of Jesus’ 17-year journey to India, Nepal and Tibet
Ancient texts reveal that Jesus spent seventeen years in the Orient. They say that from age 13 to age 29 he was both student and teacher. The events of his pilgrimage from Jerusalem to India were recorded by Buddhist historians. To this day he is known and loved throughout the East as Saint Issa.
For the first time Elizabeth Clare Prophet brings together the testimony of four eyewitnesses of these remarkable documents. With the thoroughness of a determined disciple turned detective she tells the intriguing story of the international controversy that arose when the manuscripts were first discovered in 1887 by Nicolas Notovitch – how experts “proved” they did not exist, only to have them rediscovered in this century by Swami Abhedananda, Professor Nicholas Roerich, and Mme Elisabeth Caspari.
Now you can read in one volume the chronicles and legends of what Jesus did and said in India, Nepal, Ladakh, and Tibet prior to his Palestinian mission – and the heartwarming personal accounts of those who made the trek to the Himalayas and brought back the most revolutionary message of our time.

The Bhagavad Gita
"A sloka-by-sloka interpretation
of a great work by a great sage.
The Bhagavad Gita is perhaps the greatest work of practical Indian philosophy. Among the various interpretations of the Bhagavad Gita, the one by Mahatma Gandhi holds a unique position. In his own words, his interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita is designed for the common man – “who has little or no literary equipment, who has neither the time nor the desire to read the Gita in the original, and yet who stands in need of its support.”
Gandhi interpreted the Bhagavad Gita, which he regarded as a gospel of selfless action, over a period of nine months from February 24th to November 27th, 1926 at Satyagrah Ashram, Ahmedabad. The morning prayer meetings were followed by his discourses and discussions on the Bhagavad Gita. "
Krishna: A Journey through the Lands & Legends of Krishna
"Lord Krishna is at once historical and mythological. He is the awesome architect of His age and the illuminating mentor whose discourse, the Bhagavad Gita, is regarded as a light unto all ages. The book Krishna: A Journey through the Lands & Legends of Krishna describes well known tourist places and narrates the famous legends associated with them. It also presents places that may not be known to a common man but have witnessed the glorious pastimes of Lord Krishna and associated legends. It is an innovative book that has a happy blending of a travelogue with mythological reminiscences.
The centres visited are placed in a setting which gives them a tinge of human emotions; brick and marble speak to the visitor and tell stories. The past and the present mingle, and the visit becomes a memorable experience."

99 Thoughts on Ganesha
"Stories, Symbols and Rituals of India’s beloved elephant-headed deity
In the game of cricket, having scored 99 runs, when a bats-man stands poised on the threshold of that much coveted century, he experiences the moment that is best associated with Ganesha.
Fear and uncertainty envelope him; between him and his achievement stand hurdles, both real and imaginary: a possible spin from the bowler can overwhelm him, his own anxiety can paralyze him, cheering fans can distract him. He needs divine intervention then. He needs to focus, get rid of all hurdles, perform, get the final run, and achieve what he so longs for. In other words, he needs to think of Ganapati.
This book brings together 99 meditations to better understand the stories, symbols and rituals of that ador-able elephant-headed Hindu god who removes hurdles and brings prosperity and peace. Known variously as Ganapati, Gajanana, Vinayaka or Pillayar, he can help all of us score a century in the game called life."

How to Become Rich (Marathi)
"How to Become Rich' Marathi Edition.
Lakshmi is worshipped as the goddess of wealth. Her arrival is considered auspicious, while her departure is bad and inauspicious. In temples, gods are bedecked with jewels; during festivals, our houses are decorated with flowers, lamps and lakshmi’s footprints. Clearly, she is a much-desired goddess. Yet, some friends and relatives, even gurus, tell us not to be money-minded, or that it is wrong to equate Lakshmi with money because Lakshmi is spiritual and money is material. Why this mockery of money? Why are we driving Lakshmi out of India instead of inviting her lovingly into our lives? How to become rich is a simple retelling of the stories of Lakshmi found in the Vedas and Puranas. Devdutt Pattanaik deftly explains what Hinduism says about economics at a personal level as well as at the social level.
DEVDUTT PATTANAIK writes, illustrates and lectures on relevance of mythology in modern times. He has since 1996, written over 30 books and 600 columns on how stories, symbols and rituals construct the subjective truth (myths) of ancient and modern cultures around the world. How to Become Rich (Telugu)
"How to Become Rich' Telugu Edition.
His books include Myth=Mithya: Decoding Hindu Mythology, The Book of Ram, The Pregnant King, Jaya: An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata, Sita: An Illustrated Retelling of the Ramayana, Olympus: An Indian Retelling of the Greek Myths, 7 Secrets series, Devlok with Devdutt Pattanaik series, The Business Sutra series, Devlok series for children, The Jaya Colouring Book, The Sita Colouring Book, Pashu: Animal Tales from Hindu Mythology, Shikhandi: And Other Queer Tales They Don’t Tell You, My Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, The Girl Who Chose and The Boys Who Fought. Well, you never have to stand in front of your cupboard and think: what should I wear today? There is only one color. When I was initiated into sannyasa, I thought I had become a different person forever. The reality was far from it.
The only solace: I was not the only one.
Having met numerous seekers who visit our ashram to meet my guru, Om Swami, I realized that most of them had similar woes. My failures were everyday failures for others just as much. They too were dancing to the fickle tunes of their unanchored and untamed minds.
But there was hope. Simple instructions from the ingenious mind of my master rescued me. It is his infallible wisdom that I have tried to capture in this book. I hope the lessons in these pages bring you as much peace and clarity as they brought me.

The Power of Dharma
"The Universal Moral Principle
After Valmiki, the illustrious sage, learned all about the life of Lord Rama, he went to the river to bathe. Close to the river were two large and pretty birds sweetly singing and playing together. A vicious hunter, who was plotting evil, shot an arrow which struck the male bird. Upon seeing her partner trembling on the ground, his body covered in blood, the hen cried out in great distress for her beloved’s life.
As Valmiki witnessed this ruthless hunter strike down the male bird, he became sad and thought to himself, “This was not dharma to kill a sweetly singing bird for no reason at all.” As he listened to the hen pour her heart out, he said to the hunter:
After what you have done to this bird, peace will be no more than a word.
Then Valmiki realized that he had unintentionally created a work of poetry and he named the metre shloka because it was spoken in shoka (sadness). And thus he began penning one of the greatest texts on dharma the world has ever seen.

The Bhagavad Gita
"A Guide to Navigating the Battle of Life
“O Dhananjaya, do your work established
in yoga and abandon attachment.
Be impartial to success or failure,
for yoga is equanimity.”
—The Bhagavad Gita
Myths offer truths that speak about the human condition and have withstood the test of time. The Mahabharata is one such magnificent saga and the Bhagavad Gita is the nectar of its distilled wisdom.
The great Indian gurus and philosophers have looked at the battle of Kurukshetra as a euphemism for the struggle within – between a person’s asuric (demonic) and daivic (divine) inclinations. Eons later, the Gita is still relevant and popular. Is it because we are still fascinated about an ancient war and a philosophical discourse that happened in the middle of a battlefield a long time ago, or because we are concerned about understanding the constant tussle between good and bad in our lives and in our own consciousness?
Ravi Ravindra’s fresh prose translation of the great epic stands out from the many other versions with its assertion that the Gita is, at its heart, an indispensable universal guide to help you cross the battlefield of life.

Swami in a Strange Land
"Foreword by Klaus K. Klostermaier, PhD
The Biography of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
A remarkable journey into the deepest dimensions of the human experience, Swami in a Strange Land shows how one man with a dream can change the world.
In 1965, a seventy-year-old man—soon to be known as Prabhupada—set sail from India to America with a few books in his bag, pennies in his pockets, and a message of love in his heart. He landed in New York at the peak of the revolutionary counterculture movement of the ’60s, and went on to spark a global spiritual renaissance that led to the creation of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, which has changed millions of lives.
Through the depiction of Prabhupada as both an enlightened luminary and a personable, funny, and conscientious individual, Swami in a Strange Land shows why cultural icons such as George Harrison and Allen Ginsberg incorporated Prabhupada’s teachings into their lives, and why millions more around the globe embarked upon the pa th of bhakti yoga in his footsteps.
Carefully researched, skillfully crafted, and extraordinarily intimate, this narrative follows Prabhupada as he rises from an anonymous monk to a world-renowned spiritual leader. Set in locations as far ranging as remote Himalayan caves and the gilded corridors of Paris’s City Hall, this book traces the rise of Eastern spirituality in the West—and in particular, the rise of yoga culture and vegetarianism and the concepts of karma and reincarnation.
JOSHUA M. GREENE has produced films for PBS and Disney, has served as vice president for New York’s largest PR rm, and was appointed director of strategic planning for the United Nations Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders. He was also an adjunct professor at Hofstra University in New York.
“Joshua Greene reveals the true, thrilling adventure story of Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada...”
—SHARON GANNON, author and co-founder of Jivamukti Yoga
“Overflowing from his heart was a treasure of spiritual love that he yearned to share with the world. And miraculously, he did—within a few years Prabhupada had inspired a movement that spread across the planet. ”

On Right Livelihood: Freedom from distractions, addictions and possessiveness
"On Right Livelihood explores ways for us to be engaged in, but not engulfed by, our work. In a world frantic to produce, possess, and consume, few of us have time to wonder if our work damages the environment; if we are making the most of our talents or simply making a living; if we truly savor our leisure time. Krishnamurti presents sage and eloquent teachings on these issues of vital concern to us all.
Krishnamurti has said: “Is it not necessary for each to know for oneself what is the right means of livelihood? If we are avaricious, envious, seeking power, then our means of livelihood will correspond to our inward demands and so produce a world of competition, ruthlessness, oppression, ultimately ending in war.”"
Consciousness: The Final Frontier
"Your journey to inner peace and fulfilment
Based on the popular TEDx talk of the same name, Consciousness: The Final Frontier takes us on a journey of self-discovery.
Merging the esoteric and the mundane, tapping into ancient and contemporary wisdom, and using real-life examples, Dada Gunamuktananda explores the concept of our own consciousness as part of—indeed one with—a conscious universe. He shows how to connect with the supreme teacher within us through simple and sustainable changes to our daily life. These changes include following a yogic lifestyle, practising meditation, maintaining good hygiene and health, among others.
This book not only puts forth the case for a conscious universe and how a life lived in consciousness leads to inner peace, love and fulfilment within oneself, but also how these positive feelings can overflow into love and compassion for all.
Combining philosophy and practice, Dada explains how even in times of crisis—even amidst the life challenges of today’s world—it is possible to not just survive but to thrive and strive for a better self and a better world."
The Mind of Ramana Maharshi
"New Enlarged Edition
Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879-1950) was still in his teens when he attained enlightenment through a remarkable experience, as if undergoing death of the physical body, while remaining in full consciousness. He left home for the sacred hill of Arunachala where he taught the purest form of Advaita Vedanta (non-duality) through the simple discipline of self-inquiry. His teaching, his principal instruction to all his devotes was always to meditate on the question “Who am I?”
In this book Arthur Osborne gives an account of the life and teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. It has a special relevance to our age with its outlines of a religion based on the Indian scriptures which is essentially spiritual, without ceasing to be rational and ethical."
